Thoughts on the Vice-Presidential Debate
No more leftist network debates. It is time that each side just selected a moderator, secured a venue, no audience, and conducted a real and true debate.
EXCERPT: Like some of you, I just finished watching the one and only Vice Presidential debate. I was impressed that it was quite cordial and not just a shouting match. However, there was one thing that was clearly evident to me: the moderators were biased in their questioning. Just as we saw with the ABC debate, there was a smugness about the two moderators. After the Trump-Harris presidential debate, I wrote a piece that brought attention to the lack of discussion on constitutional governance and the rule of law. This time it was no different; actually, it was a tad worse.
The CBS moderators sought a line of questioning that they felt would be favorable to leftists. The line of questioning took the form of more and increased government expansion by way of federal programs. In essence, the real question from the Vice Presidential debate was, what is the role of the federal government?
I like your choice for debate moderators, sir. I would love to see the other side try to sneak the Constitution by Levin.
I wasn't expecting much from this debate, the last two election cycles was enough to know who is running the show here. It was surprising that civility was present, not accustomed to civility showing up to such events these days, stupidity Yes, civility has not been seen much in the last 10 years. Whew, that's a long time living with insanity.
Do any of these people in government even read our Constitution and know of the limits it places on the federal government? For instance, the Constitution grants no power to Feds over health issues. That in and of itself makes the Affordable Care Act illegal along with federal laws/regulations about abortion. Vance should have said so, if only he knew the limits on the federal government.
